Privacy policy

This policy explains how RunCrew (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use runcrew.io and the RunCrew platform at app.runcrew.io. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • From our website: what you enter in the pilot application form (name, company, email, mobile, fleet size, depot suburb, retailers and any message). The site uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
  • From customers using RunCrew: account details for your staff (names, email addresses, roles, licence classes and availability), and delivery information you load, which can include end customers’ names, delivery addresses, phone numbers and delivery notes.
  • From drivers using the driver app: location while a run is in progress, delivery status and proof-of-delivery records.
  • Automatically: technical data such as IP address, browser type and error logs, used to keep the service secure and working.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. We don’t see or store full card numbers.

How we use it

  • To provide RunCrew: planning runs, showing progress to the depot, recording deliveries.
  • To reply to enquiries and pilot applications, and to support customers.
  • To bill customers, and to secure, maintain and improve the service.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use delivery customers’ information for our own marketing.

Delivery information we hold for customers

When a delivery contractor loads a retailer’s manifest into RunCrew, we hold that information on the contractor’s behalf, only to provide the service to them. The contractor decides what is loaded and how long it is kept. Requests about that information are best made to the contractor or retailer; we will help them respond.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run RunCrew, including cloud hosting and database providers (such as Amazon Web Services and Supabase), Cloudflare (website hosting, delivery and security), Stripe (payments), Zoho (email), mapping and GPS tracking providers, and Web3Forms (to deliver website form submissions to us). They may only use the information to provide their service to us.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How we protect it

Information travels over encrypted connections. Access inside RunCrew is limited by role, so drivers, planners and administrators see only what they need. We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@runcrew.io. We will respond within 30 days.

If you have a complaint about how we have handled your information, email us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
